Hi, I’m Lisa Marceau.
I started Alpha Millennial Health and Joyuus because there are gaps in health that need to be filled.
After a fulfilling career in research, product development and senior leadership, I was determined to translate my career into supporting the paradigm shift in healthcare.
And this includes translating how health impacts women differently and disproportionately. Driven by workforce change and technology, healthcare is shifting rapidly.
Knowing how to navigate the full healthcare continuum will de-risk your next move.
FINDING EQUITY
I'm proud of my journey…and the winding, unexpected path it’s taken.
It began in Washington, DC where I wrote multi-million dollar grants for OSHA and Superfund programs. I saw firsthand how health disparities stemmed from environmental hazards in the places people live and work.
Onto Boston, I managed a maternal-fetal medicine office that supported the most complex pregnancies. It was humbling. Behind every label or demographic was a person simply striving for a healthy pregnancy.
I transitioned into health research, driven by a desire to define best practices and dig deeper into the root causes of health variations and the elusive patient-centered care. This experience taught me the profound value of research and evidence to develop best practices.
My squiggly line took another turn when I realized best practices often don’t reach the people who need them. Too many face barriers, whether social, economic, or systemic, that keep them from getting necessary and appropriate care. Leading product developing across technologies demonstrated how evidence-based solutions are driving real-world impact.
And the 140 million members of the digital generations are creating something different.
I’ve had the privilege of changing the game; collaborating with brilliant researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and investors committed to equity, innovation, and meaningful progress.

The details…
I have an MPH from Boston University and a Professional MBA Certificate from Bryant University. I was VP and executive director at NERI, where I created and led product research. I managed NERI’s acquisition by a Fortune 25 insurer and remained as VP until starting Alpha Millennial Health and Joyuus.
My book, Breaking the System. How Digital Innovators Shape the Future of Healthcare is available on Amazon February 17th.
I am a featured speaker at professional conferences, raising provocative questions about the changing healthcare paradigm, the role of technology, and the power of gender differences in changing health outcomes for all. My voice and work appear in podcasts, peer reviewed journals, webinars, and workshops. I am an NIH SBIR reviewer, board advisor, accelerator judge, and judge for the Telly Media Awards. Alpha Millennial Health is WBENC and WOSB certified. I am a member of the Women Presidents Organization, KNOW Women, and am a 100 Women to KNOW 2025 Award Winner.
My Approach
Two things have stuck with me and they were the powerful forces for jumping off the cliff into entrepreneurship.
Everyone matters - collaboration is about listening and respecting different voices and perspectives. Everyone is a human being first, and a client, customer or both.
Health is a journey - it is made up of all of our experiences, and we need a better way to experience that journey. Digital generations are shifting the paradigm and health affecting women differently is a powerful driver. Together these trends will transform healthcare.
