A Road Map to Achieving Sustainable US Healthcare Reforms

Healthcare doesn't have a technology problem as much as it has an integration problem.

I appreciated being part of the conversation Physician's Weekly raised about the road to sustainable healthcare reform.

There are both exciting innovations and overwhelming ones. When building new solutions, the fundamental question to consider is: Are we helping clinicians and patients navigate disconnected systems, fragmented data, and competing incentives?

The evolution of healthcare is about aligning data, operations, technology, and incentives so they work together around how care is actually delivered.

Reducing administrative burden, integrating existing technologies, and supporting team-based care, relies on expanding our definition of value.

Value reflects the realities of chronic disease, behavioral health, broader contextual factors, and social complexity that have an impact on the health trajectory.  Solutions that help create this value can support the road to more sustainable healthcare.
